Proposal Engineer

For our Sales Department, we are looking for a Proposal Engineer to support LU-VE US. 

Mission

The Proposal Engineer serves as the primary technical and commercial resource supporting customers, sales teams, and internal stakeholders across commercial refrigeration, industrial refrigeration, data center cooling, dry coolers, condensers, and heat transfer solutions. 

Responsibilities 

• Lead and develop Application Engineering, Customer Care, and Aftermarket Sales teams. 

• Manage technical proposal development, equipment selections, and commercial quotations. 

• Support customers with product application guidance, system design recommendations, and technical solutions. 

• Drive customer satisfaction through effective issue resolution and service excellence. 

• Identify aftermarket sales opportunities including spare parts, upgrades, and retrofit solutions. 

• Partner with Sales, Operations and Engineering, to deliver profitable solutions. 

• Support strategic growth initiatives within commercial refrigeration, industrial refrigeration, and data center cooling markets. 

• Establish departmental KPIs and drive continuous improvement initiatives. 

• Mentor team members and build organizational capability through coaching and development. 

Qualifications 

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related technical discipline. 

• 7+ years of experience in HVAC, refrigeration, heat transfer, thermal management, or related industries. 

• 3+ years of leadership experience managing technical or customer-facing teams. 

• Strong knowledge of thermodynamics, heat transfer, refrigeration systems, and cooling technologies. 

• Experience with proposal development, application engineering, and customer support operations. 

• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. 

Work Environment 

• Office and production environment with collaboration across departments. 

• May occasionally require travel to other LU-VE facilities, suppliers, or manufacturing sites. 

Physical Requirements 

• Ability to sit and work at a computer for extended periods. 

• Occasionally lift and move up to 25 lbs. when reviewing components or prototypes
